AstraZeneca is offering a thesis opportunity for students enrolled in a Master's program in Pharmacy or Process Engineering. The project focuses on evaluating mesoporous materials as platforms for drug amorphization, particularly addressing poor aqueous solubility issues in drug candidates. Students will utilize techniques such as PXRD and dissolution studies to assess various mesoporous materials, determine drug loading limitations, characterize solid-state properties, formulate tablets, and analyze dissolution behavior. This on-site position in Gothenburg, lasting for the Fall term of 2026, provides valuable hands-on experience in advancing tablet formulation and contributing to innovative drug delivery solutions.
