This role involves leading the interpretation and implementation of government regulations and AstraZeneca's internal standards for occupational medical programs. It includes managing employee medical surveillance, delivering case management under various disability and workers compensation policies, developing health promotion programs, and overseeing dispensary operations. The individual also prepares budgets, collaborates with safety personnel, provides emergency medical responses, seeks efficiency improvements, establishes stakeholder groups, evaluates and modifies medical programs, and works with corporate affairs to enhance employee awareness of therapeutic areas.
