# Navigating the Dashboard

## Your Dashboard at a Glance

The Metaintro dashboard is your central hub for everything career-related. Whether you are searching for jobs, reviewing saved opportunities, or fine-tuning your profile, the dashboard puts every tool within reach.

When you log in, you land on the main area, which displays either your most recent Thread conversation or the homepage with personalized recommendations. From here, you can pick up right where you left off or start something new.

## The Left Sidebar

The left sidebar is your primary navigation panel. It stays visible as you move through the platform and gives you quick access to three key sections:

- **Threads History** -- A chronological list of your past conversations with Metaintro's AI. Click any Thread to reopen it and continue the discussion.
- **Jobs of Interest** -- Your collection of saved jobs. Any position you bookmark during a Thread or from search results appears here for easy reference.
- **Settings** -- Direct access to your account preferences, notification controls, and profile configuration.

You can collapse the sidebar on smaller screens by tapping the menu icon in the top-left corner.

## Top Navigation

The top navigation bar provides contextual controls depending on where you are in the app:

- **Notification Center** -- The bell icon shows unread alerts for new job matches, application updates, and platform announcements. Click it to review or dismiss notifications.
- **Profile Menu** -- Your avatar in the top-right corner opens a dropdown with links to your profile, account settings, subscription details, and sign-out.
- **Quick Actions** -- On the homepage, you may see shortcut buttons for common tasks such as uploading a resume or starting a targeted job search.

## Starting a New Thread

Threads are the core of how you interact with Metaintro. To begin a new conversational job search:

1. Click the **New Thread** button at the top of the sidebar or in the main area.
2. Describe what you are looking for -- a job title, industry, location, or even a general career question.
3. Metaintro's AI responds with tailored results, follow-up questions, and suggestions.

You can have multiple Threads running at the same time. Each one maintains its own context, so you can explore different career paths without losing progress.

## Accessing Saved Jobs

Whenever you find a position worth revisiting, save it with a single click. All saved jobs appear under **Jobs of Interest** in the sidebar. From there you can:

- Sort by date saved or company name
- Open the full job listing
- Remove positions you are no longer interested in
- Track application status if you have applied

## Notification Center

Stay on top of your job search without constantly checking the platform. The notification center aggregates updates such as:

- New job matches based on your Threads
- Application status changes
- Tips and recommendations from Marsh, your career assistant
- Platform feature announcements

You can configure which notifications you receive and how they are delivered (in-app, email, or both) from **Settings > Notifications**.

## Profile Settings and Personalization

Make the dashboard work for you by adjusting your preferences:

- **Profile Details** -- Keep your resume, skills, and experience up to date so Metaintro can deliver the most relevant matches.
- **Display Preferences** -- Choose your preferred language and theme.
- **Notification Preferences** -- Toggle individual notification categories on or off.
- **Privacy Controls** -- Manage data sharing and visibility settings.

A well-maintained profile helps Metaintro's AI understand your goals and surface better opportunities over time.

## Tips for Getting the Most Out of Your Dashboard

- Check your **Jobs of Interest** regularly to stay on top of deadlines.
- Use descriptive prompts when starting a Thread -- the more context you provide, the better the results.
- Review your notification settings after your first week to fine-tune the volume of alerts you receive.
