Albertsons is at it again, announcing a fresh batch of corporate layoffs in its Phoenix headquarters. In his recent chinwag with shareholders, Jassy touted the tech titan's grocery prowess, revealing that Amazon's grocery sales—sans Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh—topped a cool $100 billion. Yeah, that's a billion with a 'B'. Amazon isn’t just sticking to canned beans and shampoo; they’re expanding their fresh and perishable inventory like there’s no tomorrow. This push is thanks to Amazon's magical logistics network, which makes flying pigs and next-day delivery seem equally plausible.
