The recent report from a leading climate group paints a stark picture: approximately 20,000 jobs have gone gently into that good night. Yes, you read that correctly. The numbers are sobering, and the ripple effects are stretching far and wide in an industry previously seen as a job-generating powerhouse. ## Sunny Skies, Cloudy Forecast In the solar sector alone, thousands of workers found themselves dusting off their resumes. It's an unexpected turn for a field that once promised limitless opportunities. Solar installations have slowed due to reduced government incentives and fluctuating material costs. Even worse, retail electricity prices have failed to incentivize widespread adoption. When it comes to wind power, the gales of fortune haven't been favorable either. The [American Wind Energy Association](https://cleanpower.org/) had flagged the uncertainty in tax credit extensions as a ticking time bomb for jobs—and it seems the clock just ran out. --- Ad## ✨ A Word From Our Sponsors 👇 💭 Feeling stuck in your job hunt or career? Despite this current hiccup, clean energy isn't the Titanic—it's designed to pivot, innovate, and keep moving forward. The strategies adopted now could pave the way for sustainable growth, making it a win-win for the planet and the workforce.
